LONDON, UK and CHICAGO, IL, September 9, 2026 - Amid a period of change in the proxy advisory industry, Tumelo, the proxy voting technology company, and Chicago Clearing Corporation (CCC), the leader in securities class action claim recovery, today announced a strategic partnership that will make ProxyBeacon, Tumelo's AI-powered platform for proxy research and voting, available to CCC's client base of institutional investors, and introduce Tumelo’s clients to CCC’s class action recovery services.
For three decades, proxy voting research has been dominated by a handful of advisory firms selling one-size-fits-all recommendations. With recent regulatory pressure, this model is being challenged. ProxyBeacon changes that equation: it uses AI to deliver bespoke research, apply each client's own voting policy to upcoming meetings, and produce a complete audit trail across their full investment universe.
At the same time, institutional investors continue to leave significant settlement funds unclaimed simply because they lack the resources to monitor and file claims across their full portfolio – a gap CCC has spent more than three decades closing for its clients.
Through the partnership:
"The proxy advisory industry hasn't changed in 30 years, and AI has just changed the economics," said Will Goodwin, co-founder of Tumelo. "Every institutional investor should be able to vote with a policy they actually wrote and can defend — not a template with their name on the cover. Partnering with CCC means we can make that easy for thousands of firms."
"Chicago Clearing Corporation has always looked for ways to deliver more value to our clients," said James Tharin, CEO and Founder of Chicago Clearing Corporation. "Partnering with Tumelo expands the commitment into shareholder voting, replacing one-size-fits-all recommendations with AI-powered insights that empower clients to make informed voting decisions aligned with their own perspectives."
